About C-me
The people behind C-me had years of experience coaching and assessing individuals, teams and organisations before setting out on their own and creating the C-me colour profiling system. Their earlier experience taught them how personality-based assessments tended to produce a pixelated image of a person that was short on specifics.
As a result, they very deliberately moved away from personality-based assessments with C-me, instead embracing a behaviour-based model that produces a much clearer, in-depth picture of a person's traits, tendencies and instincts. The information gleaned from C-me is then distilled into a set of colours with each colour standing for a different, previously hard to assess trait or tendency.
The C-me colour profiling system has proven extremely successful and has been adopted by countless businesses right across the UK including giants such as Oracle, HSBC, the BBC, the NHS and many more.

What our clients say about us
C-me has been a really useful tool; using them to not only develop our own self-awareness, but also learn how to communicate better as a team has been really invaluable.
The impact C-me profiles have on teams and the organisation as a whole has been fascinating and refreshing. Individuals have shown more empathy, inclusivity and understanding of their colleagues, creating a happier and more productive culture. I would feel confident in recommending C-me as it creates a shared language for discussing behaviour and difference.
WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation began using C-me as a tool for improving communication across our international senior leadership team. It helped us appreciate each other’s communication preferences better, and understand and avoid previous areas of misunderstanding. We have now started to roll C-me out across the UK organisation, putting it into our Onboarding process to help teams communication effectively and appreciate each other’s contribution.
While difficult to quantify in %'s, I notice a greater awareness of why conflict can happen and what team members might need to work effectively once employees understand the colour preferences. Participants on the course state that they are more measured in their responses and have a greater understanding of peoples behaviour.
We pride ourselves on collaborating across departments, and C-Me allows us to enhance that process through a shared understanding of each other's working preferences...
Job Suitability Assessment FAQs
What Is the Purpose of the Job Suitability Assessment?
The assessment is designed to help organisations make smarter hiring decisions by looking beyond CVs and interviews. It examines whether a candidate not only has the technical skills for the role but also demonstrates the behaviours and working style that will allow them to succeed within a team and organisational culture.
How Does It Improve the Hiring Process?
Hiring can be costly when the wrong person is brought on board. The Job Suitability Assessment provides additional data at the selection stage. It highlights how candidates are likely to manage time, respond to challenges, and interact with colleagues. This helps employers shortlist individuals who are not just capable but also more likely to thrive long term, reducing both turnover and training costs.
Can It Be Adapted for Different Roles?
Yes. The assessment can be tailored to match the requirements of different job functions. For example, for finance and data-focused roles, greater emphasis may be placed on numerical reasoning and accuracy. For sales or customer service positions, the focus may shift toward communication style, resilience, and adaptability. This flexibility makes the tool useful across many sectors.
How Do Candidates Experience the Assessment?
From the candidate’s perspective, the process is straightforward. Most assessments take under an hour to complete online. The questions are designed to be clear and role-relevant, so individuals feel they are being evaluated fairly. When feedback is shared constructively, many candidates view it as an opportunity to better understand their strengths and areas for development.
What Do Employers Gain From Using It?
Employers who use the assessment often find that new hires settle more quickly into their roles. Because both skills and behaviours are considered, there are fewer surprises once the employee joins the team. Hiring managers also gain a more rounded concept of each candidate, which makes panel discussions and final decisions easier. Over time, this leads to stronger teams and improved retention.
What Are the Limitations?
While the assessment adds valuable insight, it should never be used in isolation. It works best when combined with interviews, references, and other screening methods. There is also a risk that overemphasis on cultural or behavioural fit could reduce diversity if not handled carefully. To avoid this, results should be seen as guidance rather than definitive judgements.
How Quickly Are Results Available?
Most reports are produced within a few days of candidates completing the assessment. Employers receive a clear summary that highlights strengths, potential gaps, and an overall suitability rating. This quick turnaround means the assessment can fit seamlessly into existing recruitment timelines.
